The original pilot began with kind of a half-page screed about the evils that the internet has wrought.

In general, the premise of crowdsourcing is, crowds can do amazing things when theyre directed.
You have a room full tech experts and one cop.
What I think is interesting about the show is that the main character didnt set out to solve crimes.
He set out to solveacrime.
He, in fact, is very reluctantly drawn into solving any other crimes.
At some point, you put it to bed and you come up with a new overarching story.
Monica Potter plays Jeffreys congresswoman ex-wife, but we dont see much of her in the pilot.
Some of her story that was originally scripted for the pilot has had to be pushed into later episodes.
I think its an interesting show for CBS to do because I would call us a hybrid.
Were not a pure procedural in the way that you think of a CBS crime show.
