This week, Michael Trevino remembers Tyler Lockwood…

I went and had bought the books and started reading them.

I did some research online and found out Tyler is eventually going to become a werewolf.

I remember she looked at me and she was like, You dont need to read that.

Were not going to stick to that a lot.

I was like, Oh, okay.

Did I know he would become a werewolf?

But did I know when it was going to happen and how it was going to happen?

It took two full days just to achieve that sequence.

Ill never forget that because that was two grueling days.

It was the beginning of Tylers journey.

That was its inception.

Ill never forget it.

In the beginning, Tyler was a bit of a prick.

He had all this pent-up rage in him.

I was fortunate enough to be able to expand on the character in different ways.

Joseph Morgans a great actor and I enjoy working with him.

Hes such a committed actor.

When Damon killed Tyler in season 8, I understood that that was more than likely Tylers journey.

Hes always been surrounded by death.

That was a little different.

I knew it had to happen.

The season isnt over yet.

Filming is still currently happening; nobody ever really dies onVampire Diaries.

I will always be associated with it.

Each and every one of them is family to me, truly.

Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of thisVampire Diariesfamily.
