I was excited about it because theres so much to work with and to pull from.
I think its a really interesting lesson and thats not how the world works.
And Kate realizes, Oh my gosh, this isnt about me at all.
Its what Toby has gone through.
Its compromise and sacrifice.
He does such an amazing job with that scene.
He cant do theater right now.
Quite frankly, hes probably not good enough, hes not disciplined enough.
Its like, I got the job.
Now I have to do the job.
Hes got to figure out how to become an actor and hes got to do it quickly.
Hes with this woman who just is not nice, but shes honest with him.
Its not that shes mean, shes just being honest.
Shes like, Look, heres the truth.

She resents him in that way as well.
It was probably three minutes, but it seemed like about three years, okay?
