But everything changed once they saw Eugene.

Its just that Scotts so busy, and Im not one of those people to remind anyone of anything.

So its always about midseason that I go, Damn.

I dont know what Im doing here.

I dont know whats going on or anything.

I should probably track him down.

Theyve all been through a lot.

So why is it that Rosita cant get behind that?

Is she just too impatient?Yeah, shes very, very motivated right now.

She wants to put herself before anybody else, and I think thats just how much she loves them.

Everyone gives 130 percent.

Nobody shows up to work and half-asses it.

But Sonequa and I, we have this chemistry and it shows, I think.

We can trust each other, and we have fun with each other even in the most dramatic scenes.

The most traumatizing scenes are still somehow fun.

I want to talk about some of the specific scenes we see in this episode.

Obviously, its a slightly awkward situation when Rosita sees Sasha wearing the necklace that she made for Abraham.

Who should be wearing that?Well, nobody at this point.

We joked about that off camera.

We read the script and when we were filming it, we both thought it was so gross.

Its this weird place, but she also just lost her love.

What she and Abraham shared was very real.

At that point, shes almost looking at this as a one-way trip, isnt she?

Escape is not really Rositas concern, is it?Yeah, thats a good read.

I was very excited.

I had known about her backstory for a while.

It was like this juicy secret that I had, but I also really couldnt wait to share it.

Ive been asked about it a lot, so the way I got to do it was perfect.

And I love her backstory.

It shows her strength.

It shows how fierce she is.

Their agreement was that theyre going in to kill Negan and to hell with their lives.

I think that there then starts to be a lot of guilt.

What do you think Rosita does if she does go in there and she runs across Eugene again?

[Laughs]She probably just tells him to sit down and get out of the way.

What is it like when you know you have this big episode coming? Its exciting.

Its nerve-wracking and I love that its still nerve-wracking.

And theres also the fear of, this is a lot of dialogue.

[Laughs]I remember getting that scene between me and Sonequa, and its so simple.

Its so trivial, but it was the most dialogue Ive ever had on the show.

That comes very naturally to some people and it doesnt for others.

But thats the game.

You learn from yourself.

You grow and you hope to do better the next day.

We knew where Rositas head was at going into this whole mission.

So theres definitely going to be a lot more strategizing for Rosita.
