Billy Gilman took the stage duringThe Voiceblind auditions Tuesday night looking for a second chance.
Gilman turned to the show in the hopes of reinventing his image as an adult in the music industry.
He has also since come out as gay.
I started as a young country artist and had great success, he told the judges.

Levines plea worked and Gilman chose the Maroon 5 crooner as his coach.
