If there are going to be more stories, there has to be conflict, trauma, scars.
A hero cant still be the same triumphant figure he was decades before.
We know that he is not a coward.
Hes not just hiding because hes scared.
But we also know that he must know his friends are in danger.
He must know the galaxy needs him.
And hes sitting on this island in the middle of nowhere.
There had to be an answer.
And he is betrayed, with tragic consequences.
Luke feels responsible for that.
But theres more to it than we know.
But life is imperfect and without conflict there is no drama.
Believe me, youre going to see a lot of conflict inThe Last Jedi.
That is for sure.
His dreams are different now.
