I had such a good time writing that character.
It opened up a whole world for Sonya Walgers character Margot.
It made Peter Krause one-half of a comedy duo.
The show just changed.
We want to have it all on the show.
So the stakes are really high.
Even though its a sort of heightened world, we are playing things as emotionally grounded as we can.
So the humor just seemed to organically come out of who they are.
Whats going on between Ben (Krause) and Alice this season?Theyre very much a newlywed couple.
Theyre not married yet, technically, but they are together the entire season.
We still manage to put plenty of obstacles in their paths.
Hes sort of wackishly irresistible.
said, Yeah, if Shonda and the internet were okay with it.
And Shonda, of course, was delighted.
The first time we were able to use him was in the first episode of season 2.
Is there going to be a parallel path for Margot (Walger) and Alice?
They both love or loved the same man.
Season 2 is being able to explore that relationship more slowly.
So, I hope people will watch and find it satisfying.
