But the stunning, powerful finale left us with the possibility that they could.

Thats my way of saying: Whatever you glean from it is okay.
Rather, as McKinnon says, its about the complexity of the human condition.
Because they usually are.
By the end of the series, we still dont know if Daniel did murder Hanna Dean.
I just didnt feel like I could give up on him or let him give up on himself.
Its a long road, but I think we can afford to be hopeful, he says.
Whether Daniel will as we stop filming him, I dont know.
But that felt like it was a good place to leave him for now.
