How and when did you arrive at that twist?

And the entire cast knew about that twist at the time?
When Alex and Ryan make it to The Farm, they meet a new assortment of recruits.
How did you come up with the recruits identities?
Did you have a list of characters you wanted to write?
Because of that, I wrote specific roles for specific actors.
If it hadnt been Russell, we would have come up with a different role for a different actor.
Its great to have him.
Its just a neat little trio.
Ill never be able to do anything without David in it.
And Jeremy Millers books are about a character named Jake Eagle, whos our Jack Ryan.
When we needed a name for the Jack Ryan character, all the writers were like, Jake Eagle!
Now as for Lydia, you know shes not really a recruit… She turns out to be an instructorandOwens (Blair Underwood) daughter.
What is their dynamic like?
We see theyre friendly for now.
Theyre friendly, but theyre frosty.
They have this very clearly defined issue that theyre always playing with.
What do you mean by staying between goal posts for the twists this season?
Can you give me an example of a story that strayed beyond those boundaries in season 1?
Liams story last year had layers upon layers.
Oh wait, they dont.
He has an estranged daughter!
Oh wait, he doesnt.
He was with Miranda!
Oh wait, he wasnt.
It was constantly changing, and there wasnt one issue he had.
