That was his muse, and one of his most favorite characters that he loved to write.
So I didnt want to bring her back as Vanessa.

I felt like her story ended at the end of season 3, when John stopped writing the show.
So I never wanted to bring her back as herself.
But I loved the character and I love who she is as a person.

I thought, What a cool way to bring the Devil back in human form.
Because whatdoesthe Devil look like?
He can move and be in other forms.

So the Devil could take her form andbeher.
The question also is, Is there any part of Vanessa thats still in there?
Speaking of bringing Vanessa back, you also killedSir Malcolm!

How did that decision come about?It was honestly such a difficult decision to make.
I struggled with it.
I had so many versions where he survived.

But I just wanted to make it clear that nobody is safe.
This is a series where theres real danger.
These peoples lives are at stake.

Theyre dealing with the ultimate evil.
So there are other options for him.
What was great is the fact that Malcolm lost his real daughter and his real son in the series.

Ethan and Lily are finally reunited!
How are they processing this?
With so much going on, will they even have a chance to?Its a tough situation.
And then, Lilys on her own mission too.
So how does that affect their relationship going forward?
That was always the goal, to bring Frankensteins storys back in.
Hes such a great character.
In this issue, we see hes back to being friends with Dr. Jekyll again.
Hes not a wealthy man.
Even though he came from the wealth of his family, he doesnt have it.
So I wanted to give the audience that again.
I want to explore what their relationship has become since we last saw them together.
What is he when hes Dr. Jekyll, and what is he when hes Mr. Hyde?
Its not going to be your typical monster.
Instead, its going to be monstrous in a different way.
Youre going to want to be around him.
Catrionas one of our favorite characters.
Shes so smart and tough, and such a badass.
Shes slowly going to uncover the truth of what theyre doing and what theyre up to.
Also were going to learn a lot more about where her fascination with death has come from.
Ethans always been the one thats the hero.
But what happens when hes the one thats desired by the villain?
So, these great women have to protect him.
Were going to flip some roles around a little bit and have fun with that.
