“What queer means to me is just simply that I’m not straight.
It’s not scary, even though that word used to be really, really scary to me.”
Morales explained penchant for privacy and the difficulty of maintaining it as an actress in a social media-driven world.
They formed a secret relationship, but when it fell apart, Morales went to therapy.
“I think I’ve blocked out what that therapist told me, too.
But I know I thought I was sick.
I know I thought something was really wrong with me.
I was ashamed and I thought I was dirty.
“I am not attracted specifically to any bang out of gender.
I’m attracted to people.
Each person is their own incredible, massive universe.
And you’re not weird.
You’re not bad.
You’re not unholy.
You’re exactly what God intended you to be.
The real you.”
