Simpsonracked up multiple Emmy Awards, Ezra Edelmans documentaryO.J.

Made in Americahas followed in its footsteps, nabbing the Academy Award for best documentary.

Producer Caroline Waterlow shared the win with Edelman.

Edelman went on to share whatO.J.

Made in Americameans to him.

Its sports, sex, murder, Edelman said.

And many people, the majority of people saw one thing, how it ended up was something else.

I think theres always going to be a sense of intrigue surrounding that story.

He also provided insight on the making ofO.J.

Made in America, which required interviews with 72 people.

Many of them were tough, said Edelman.

This was a story that a lot of people didnt want to revisit.

They hadnt talked about it in 20 years.

There were many people that wouldnt speak to us.

Clearly, Oscar voters agreed.
