NBC reviving the ‘Must See TV’ label

NBC is betting hugely onThis Is Usnext season.

NBC just released its fall schedule (below) which saw many key changes to the networks lineup.

Theres a case to be made for keeping the show where it was.

While its a little risky, theres a bigger case to be made about redoing Thursday night.

That Thursday redo includes reviving the 1990s-era marketing brand Must See TV.

NBC will pop swing open the night with the reboot ofWill & Grace.

Some reporters pressed the executive about the reason for reviving the slogan.

Our hope is to create the return of Must See TV on Thursday, he said.

Its not like were bringing back the entire old Must See TV lineup.

Were using the label to refer to some extraordinary new things andWill & Grace.

The sophomore season ofTakenis also being moved to Fridays.

Greenblatt noted: We havent definitively said no to giving it a series order.
