I do think its tragic, so much of whats happened.
And the fact that the familys had to endure with respect to this woman not being here.
I was falsely accused.

You know, I went to court.
And I sat in trial.
You know, I was vindicated.
I was proven innocent, Parker said.
And I feel terrible that this woman isnt here.
I feel terrible that her family had to deal with that.
But as I sit here, an apology is, no.
Celestin did not receive a new trial.
I dont think so at all, Parker said.
The filmmaker also told Cooper he was surprised by the criticism over his continuing to associate with Celestin.
I dont feel guilty, he said.
Im 36 years old right now, and my faith is very important to me.
I think its bigger than all of us.
In August,Variety reportedthat Parkers accuser died by suicide in 2012.
Parkerexpressed profound sorrowupon learning of her death, a sentiment he echoed in the60 Minutesinterview.
I was devastated, he said.
I couldnt believe it.
