When I got the role, it was like winning a lottery ticket, I couldnt believe it.
I watched the showtwice.
It was incredible, and I didnt think it was going to happen.
Your character Jorge Salcedo is really the crux of the new season.
I didnt realize it would be such a meaty part to dive into.
Because sometimes that happens.
Your character really stands out on the show.
As opposed to the other gangster characters, he has two degrees.
Hes a scholar, an educated man.
His father is a general, so he hasnt lacked anything during his upbringing.
He doesnt come from poverty, which is usually the case for most people in the drug trade.
So hes a little different from the other guys.
So theres tons of information, and I tried to learn as much as I could.
You took a role that couldve been a little over the top but performed it with restraint.
This is not a fictional character.
So that really made me sharpen up my tools.
I wanted him to always seem slightly uncomfortable.
He goes through a lot this season.
That was a really tough scene!
It was a real plastic bag, so physically it was very demanding.
We did a bunch of takes.
It was really tough.
It was really hard to breathe!
So before takes, I would be gasping, trying to catch my breath.
So youre a Swedish actor with Spanish roots.
So I ended up on my ass.
So I was in construction for eight to nine years.
At that time there were not so many characters in Swedish movies for people of other ethnicities.
But then in that time a book came out that was very popular in the Scandinavian region.
Like a lot of people, I read it.
So I convinced the director to give me an audition.
He mustve thought I was really bad.
But he ended up giving me the part, and thats how my career got started.
Narcosis a huge show internationally.
I did Google myself, against better judgment.
And I found that some reviews have come out, and theyre really positive about the entire season.
So that makes me really happy.
Thats as far as Ive gotten.
And it definitely got my pulse racing for sure.
I didnt even know there were so many countries!
So that makes it all feel more real, for sure.
