The motto of season 2?

Were starting to see the mirror-image similarities between them, for the good and the bad.

At what point do they meet?

What are the gains and losses there?

Our main question this [season] is: Whos killing Eve?

Is it Carolyn [Eves MI6 boss, played by Fiona Shaw] and MI6?

Or is it Eve, who just cant stop putting her hands right into that flame?

Theres a reality of that.

Whenever you look at action movies or action TV shows, you skip the recovery.

Meanwhile, the beginning of the season will examine how Villanelle transacts with what transpired.

The worst of it was that she was lying down, and she trusted Eve, says Fennell.

We called it not any sort of psychic wound for Villanelle, but its a narcissistic wound.

And it was a cut that joined, not divided.

We really felt like the act bonded them in a macabre, fascinating, deep way.

(Well let you two get to know each other.

Because often its more exciting but also more scary than you expected.

Expect more colorful kills from Villanelle, but nothing too cartoonish.

(Except maybe her pajamas.

We were very keen to keep it grounded as always, she says.

We really havent done that.

There are some amazing murders because everyone loves murdering people.

Weve not gone over the top.

Were not going to see her on a high wire with a machine gun.

Its also not a marriage where those people are miserable.

Its actually a very happy, healthy, wonderful thing that is worth fighting for.

Of course, its just whether or not the circumstances become too impossible.

The situations that we are in now Eve has done something which may have changed her forever.

That will have repercussions witheveryrelationship in her life.

Lets say something happens which maybe requires that those things have to be put aside, teases Fennell.

The truth is Carolyn kind of needs Eve, because theres no one like her.

That said, suspicion and wariness are stitched into their dynamic by design.

We dont know why Carolyns on CCTV.

Its probably a bit more complicated than any of us thinks.

(Though one familiar face will be Carolyns son, Kenny, played by Sean Delaney.)

Eve is such an unbelievably hilarious and brilliant character, says Fennell.

Suddenly theres someone between them for the first time, Fennell recently hinted at a press conference.)

Or is the show boldly ready to part with one of its most compelling, intriguing characters?

There absolutely will be clarity, says Fennell.

Well definitely find out what happened either way.

Theyve always got their eye on things, notes Fennell.

Theyre always an ever-present threat.

They are a physical entity.

Thats all I will say.

Theyre part of the fabric of the world ofKilling Eve.

Killing Eveis not ending just yet.How long can this cat-and-mouse game continue?

Maybe a little longer than you think.

Thats always the conversation in the back of your mind, says Fennell.

Youd be interested in what Villanelle asked Eve to get her from the supermarket.

Of course, we think about it a lot, but theres a way to go yet.

Let your paranoid flag fly freely.Trust no one, she hints.

Lipstick.Warns Fennell: Youll never put on makeup the same way again.
