Im closer to making a decision.
Now that Im finishing up [Vol.
2] I am starting to think about what Im going to do next andVol.
3is not an impossibility.
3is that he was reluctant to make a thirdGuardiansmovie withoutMichael Rooker.
But Rooker seems unlikely to make a significant appearance inVol.
3 or appear at all given his character Yondu sacrifices himself at the end ofVol.
2to save his adopted son, Chris Pratts Peter Quill.
I almost didnt doGuardians of the Galaxy Vol.
3because there was no Michael Rooker in it and I couldnt see making the movie without him.
He means that much to me and I love him that much.
And I realized I was being dishonest.
That was not what this story was.
And the truth of this story, this was about a fathers true and ultimate love for his son.
This is a movie about, Who really are our fathers?
Who really are our siblings?
And so thats why Yondu dies.
