The show has [almost] always had a host, and traditionally those hosts have done certain things.
There were a lot of years when the Grammys didnt have a host at all!
The biggest thing with the Grammys is that its a music show more than an awards show.

The truth is, there really isnt time.

Those Carpools at their shortest are six minutes; the longest is 16 minutes.
Is there an artist that youre hoping wins big?Chance the Rapper!That albumis brilliant.
I just love every facet of his performances.
I love what hes saying.
He feels like a new wave.
If you look at the people that are nominated, its incredible.
The full list of performers is jaw-dropping.
Were really talking about the biggest artists in the world.
Im just excited to be in their orbit for a little while.
And then reunite One Direction and get them to terminate the show.
