I love that this is an animated series for young girls that celebrates creativity, imagination and individuality.
Stefani has a long history with Harajuku, a Tokyo district renowned for its youth culture and fashion.
She famously penned 2004s Harajuku Girls as an ode to the area.

Nickelodeon
Though it was met with heavy backlash, Stefani has stood by the song in the decade since.
Kuu Kuu Harajukuwill premiere Oct. 3 at 4 p.m.
ET on Nickelodeon, and will continue into a regular timeslot of Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. Watch the trailer above.
