The guess right now is no, but its still only December and anything can happen.
Will this trend continue to Oscars?
Will the Academy go for Gibsons movie in the same way?
Its a big snub and we will see if the film proves to be as polarizing to the Academy.
Taylor Sheridans screenplay was also rewarded, though Mackenzie was left off the director list.
Both will, of course, lose toLa La Land.
But despite all this, a clearer picture should form on Wednesday when the SAG nominations are announced.
