“This point is the climax and they physically act upon it.”
She just loves him and that intimacy they’ve shared comes to a head.
She’s kept things very together to stay composed but this scene is the opposite of that.

“You’re like, Okay, I’m getting naked.'
But it was fine and, obviously, done really respectfully.
Whether you’ve done it many times, or none at all, it’s a big deal.
You feel like you’re giving something quite vulnerable and, yes, it’s hard.”
Emmanuel notes that her fellow actors helped by giving her anecdotes about shooting their first nude scenes.
And it sort of helps the scene to actually feel very vulnerable and exposed.
It’s good to use that energy and it made it so much better."
“The scene keeps everybody guessing about certain things,” she says.
“There’s love displayed in this show in so many ways but it’s normally so tragic.
It doesn’t happen often but when it does it really resonates.”
And as for the endangered couple’s future … well, that’s obviously rather uncertain.
“You hope those two have a happy ending,” she says.
“But you try not even say it out loud.”
