Some people are afforded both without having to explain their choices.
Even the idea of wanting both makes it sound like you are asking for more than your allotted share.
Each season starts with discussions about where the characters are in their lives.
Where are they emotionally?
This episode came from a discussion about Jessica pursuing both and what thats like for her.
Jessica, like myself, is fortunate to have a husband who supports her 100 percent.
We came to a story about how Jessica wants help, but doesnt want to give up control.
Again, a problem of wanting both.
Thats what I love about how Nahnatchka Kahn built Jessicas character, and how Constance Wu plays her.
Jessica always wants her cake and to eat it, too, and she refuses to apologize.
Yes girl, always both!
Crap, I really have to go order that.
