Pop megastar Ed Sheeran took the first hiatus of his career recently.
I felt totally refreshed and rejuvenated.
He says the benefit was two-fold, for both him and his fans.

And I also think it was good for my fans.
Excited is an understatement.
Id like to think that its sounding better too.
I have a new loop station that can handle a bit more.
But ultimately, its still just me, my guitar, and the looper.
I dont see that changing anytime soon.
He notes that more than half of the nightly setlist is new music.
Im a little surprised, he admits.
Sheeran also says hes particularly excited to spend time dotting the U.S. map.
Im literally going to be there all summer, even into fall, really, he says.
Its hard to put my finger on what exactly it is, but every country has its own vibe.
Not any better or worse, just different.
And, even within the U.S., each city has its own vibe.
