ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Girl, Im so excited to talk with you.

Are you holding up ok?Yeah, Im fine girl!

Its what you do after the show knowing that youve been given an amazing opportunity that really matters.

There are girls that have won their season, but what are they doing now?

First episode, she was gone!

Buteverybodys talking about Miss Vanjie!

I got eliminated third, so I need her to give me one for free.

Missing that $100,000, eh?

I do want to ask you about your name.

Im hoping its a nod to J-pop goddess Ayumi Hamasaki?Yes!

I chose an Asian last name because I want people to hear my name andknowthat Im an Asian girl.

And her last name sounds so killer, doesnt it?Hamasaki!

Im a Namie girl, though.

Growing up in China was completely different than growing up in America.

When we moved here, I didnt speak a word of English.

I was critiqued [by Americans] and ashamed of my culture.

I tried to hide anything that made me look Chinese.

So I embody that in my drag!

A lot of the references most drag performers understand are pop cultural.

They understood it right away that the crows mean death and death in Asian culture means evil.

And that I was embodying what an evil queen would look like if she were made of crows.

But I guess that didnt translate in American culture.

I found it odd that Michelle critiqued you so harshly when you explained its meaning.

How did that feel? She calls it clapping back, but I call it explaining myself.

And I want to stay in the competition thats why Im explaining myself.

I was not thinking of Acid Betty when I did the crows!

I thought it looked high fashion, but they called it arts & crafts.

Are they letting her skate by?I dont produce the show so I dont know!

Wed find them in all corners of the room.

The girls were just picking them up off the floor.

I didnt touch them, but the other girls were using them.

They were just picking up the scraps from the floor and drying their faces with it [Laughs].

Thats so hilarious.And its gross!

To each their own!

Girl…When I think of a lip sync, Im thinking of what the performer would be doing.

Did you see that? No, I didnt see it!

Id love to see it!

Its somewhere lurking the dark corners of Twitter, but its pretty funny.

If people keep talking about you, thats all that matters.

If theyre not talking about you, thats when you should be scared!

Youre also making a name for yourself in openly discussing your gender fluidity.

Can you elaborate on that a bit more?Every gender has been doing drag for a long time.

Transwomen have been doing drag forever.

Gender fluid people have been doing drag forever… cisgender females and transpeople are doing drag, too!

And we just dont talk about it.

So, Im here to represent that.

If you want to do drag, do it.

As long as youre having fun, do it.

Ive heard every joke with my name.

So, U-Haul was nothing to me at all.

I thought it was funny, but Ive heard it before.
