Damien Chazelle will launch Ryan Gosling into the stars once again.

On the heels ofLa La Lands success at the Feb. 26 Oscars, where it won six statuettes including best director Universal has announced it will distribute the duos second collaboration,First Man, to theaters on the awards-friendly date of Oct. 12, 2018.

First Manis billed as a riveting account of of NASAs mission to land Neil Armstrong on the moon, and will largely focus on the astronauts journey toward becoming the first person to walk on the celestial body between 1961-1969.

Adapted by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Josh Singer (Spotlight) from James R. Hansens 2005 book of the same name,First Manwill explore the sacrifices and the cost on Armstrong and on the nation of one of the most dangerous missions in history, according to a press release.

Chazelle and Gosling will also produce the film alongside Temple Hill Entertainments Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen (The Twilight Saga,The Fault in Our Stars).

Isaac Klausner (The Fault in Our Stars) is set to executive-produce, while DreamWorks Pictures will co-finance production.
