Chris Rock might not have beenthe best hostthis time around onSaturday Night Live,but ratings-wise, he brought viewers in: The evenings audience was bigger than it has been since the shows Feb. 1 episode when Melissa McCarthy hosted.
Besides scoring the shows highest ratings in metered-market households since that McCarthy episode, the show also ranked high in the target 18-49 demographic, bringing in more viewers than it has since Jim Parsons March 1 episode.
This episode marked Rocks second time hosting; the first was in 1996.True DetectiveandThe Hunger GamesWoody Harrelsonis set to hostSNLon Nov. 15 with musical guest Kendrick Lamar.
