Both men don’t think so, knowing Wendy to be no-nonsense, but also honorable.

It’s an approach that works really well most of the time and yet feels unnecessarily convoluted here.

As the plot unfolds, the endgame becomes pretty clear.

Chuck talks about issues of guilt and how even facts are tricky things in court.

The overly convoluted nature of the structure doesn’t seem necessary this time around.

There are certainly plenty of intriguing moments in the early going though.

Nobody does that like Hall.

Axe’s guys can’t hack the carrier’s system, and that’s where Hall comes in.

It’s at this moment that Wendy truly steps over a line that she never has before.

That’s where Wendy comes in, realizing that she can use Mafee’s romantic feelings toward her.

Chuck’s grin during the meeting says it all; it’s everything he’s wanted.

In other words, everything goes off without a hitch.

Dake gets fired, Mafee gets played, and both Chuck and Axe go free.

There’s seemingly no way to fight the corruption in hedge funds and the government.

And yet, Axe doesn’t look happy.

He has a pained look on his face as he eases back into the tub.

It’s a look that could be a heart attackam I the only one who thought this?

He looks seriously strained, and it’s difficult to tell what that meansor just a general existential emptiness.

Either way, this is his life now.

This is Wendy, Chuck, Kate, and Dake’s life, too.

They may get a few wins, but at what cost?
