Earlier Tuesday,Beauty and the Beaststar Luke Evans appeared onGood Morning Americato premiere a new look at Gaston, the song his villainous character of the same name performs with Josh Gads Le Fou in the live-action remake.
Although the tune will sound familiar to fans of the 1991 animated classic, this version features new lyrics which incorporate alternate lines written back in the day by the late Howard Ashman who, together with Alan Menken, penned all the numbers in the original movie.
We have lines that were not in the original, Evans said when EW visited the films set in the summer of 2015.
The guys did at Disney reviewed all the transcripts and recordings, theyve been able to go back through those hours and hours of recorded footage, and listen to lyrics that were written and never used, which are actually gems.
For the audience who know the song immensely well which I think is most people you will hear a few new lines, which are really really special.
Footage of Gastonwas previously glimpsedin an earlier trailer for the film, but this new offering includes Gad and Evans singing the big number.
