In Thursdays statement, Schumer confirms that she had Beyonces approval and addresses the criticism more directly.
I did not mean to detract any of the meaning from the [Lemonade] video, she writes.
It was a way to celebrate bringing us all together.
To fight for what we all want.
And to do it together.
The movie we made is fun and the women in it are strong and want to help each other.
Thats what it was about for me.
