He also comes off as talking to himself, but its actually just Mack via headset.

It doesnt take long before his target shows up.

The robotic AIDA, meanwhile, is doing fine.

Now, AIDAs fixed that problem.

In other words, she basically built the Matrix.

The Superior is unimpressed.

He and his followers dont care much for AIDA or robots at all.

The Superior, at least, has some impressive abilities.

He read the Darkhold and has apparently suffered no ill effects.

Hes even got a plan for the next stage of the fight against Inhumans and S.H.I.E.L.D.

He just needs one of the former to dangle in front of the latter.

Luckily, Radcliffe still has some Terrigen crystals, left over from his time with Hive.

The Superior knows exactly what to do with them.

headquarters, Simmons is running Mace through some tests.

The director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Every new injection, according to his analysis, increases the chance of cardiac arrest.

Luckily, Coulson is there with some advice.

He tells Mace to find his role but not, ideally, on the edge of an Asgardian spear.

As we all know, Nadeers brother was an Inhuman and she killed him for it.

Nadeer has enough time to laugh at Shockleys mistake before he explodes, killing her.

NEXT: The one thing he couldnt fix

Coulson confronts Agnes, asking her for information about Radcliffe.

Agnes describes herself as the one thing Radcliffe couldnt fix.

She has an inoperable brain tumor, and even he failed to cure it.

Even worse, the crime scene is hard for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Fitz and Simmons decide to merely test every material they find and see what turns up.

Daisy, however finds video of Shockley entering and recognizes him from the scuffle at the Labyrinth last week.

Shockley himself is still alive, as it turns out.

Superior seems to believe him, but theres not much time for hugs.

Coulson shows up at Agnes house, but this time, he uses apology instead of force.

In fact, he literally says, I apologize, since she hates hearing Im sorry so much.

Without knowing the details of Radcliffes plans, S.H.I.E.L.D.

agents have wondered if he killed May.

Agnes, however, says that his goal is always prolonging and extending life, not ending it.

She agrees to help Coulson by setting up a meeting with Radcliffe.

Miles away, Daisy is doing her part to look for Radcliffe.

She interrogates Shockley for information on the doctor, but he refuses to talk to anyone but Mace.

Mace agrees, noting that his real superpower is persuasion.

He is naked, but luckily a good Samaritan pulls up in his truck.

He arrives at a motel, where he immediately uses the phone to call Superior and confess.

Then he blows up the diner.

While Coulson and Mack observe from a nearby surveillance truck, Agnes gets a call from Radcliffe.

She was expecting an in-person visit and accuses him of not having the guts to face her.

He describes the virtual world he and AIDA built as The Framework, a world where death is obsolete.

In fact, Radcliffe says, he has one patient in there already, and shes thriving.

Radcliffes argument convinces Agnes to destroy her mic and come meet him.

Daisy has been practicing her powers against Shockleys explosions, but now its time for the real thing.

Luckily, Mace has finally figured out his position on the team: Hes the blocker.

Sending FitzSimmons ahead to help Daisy, he stays behind to hold off the Russians.

He injects himself with the serum and manages to stop one of the trucks.

As the others converge on him, he manages to hold his own before being subdued.

The Superior is more than happy to capture what he thinks is the Inhuman director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

as FitzSimmons use their fancy to gear to finally capture Shockley.

Radcliffe may be at large once again, but Coulson is nevertheless cheerful.

Viewers even see exactly where she is hooked up in Superiors submarine, right next to Agnes.

As Agnes consciousness leaves her dying body for the Framework, AIDA takes her necklace.

Maybe thats still to come.
