When she found out Ryan Murphy was makingThe People v. O.J.

Simpson:American Crime Story,she immediately asked if she could play Nicole Brown Simpson.

Its daunting to play a real living person.

I really wanted to try and get the physical stuff as well as I could.

I was so nervous about that Larry King interview because Larry King knew Faye that actually happened.

I hadnt played Faye in awhile because Id been off playing [Rayna onNashville].

So I finally went in to shoot and hes sitting on that set, and hes so into it.

Oh my God, its like shes sitting in front of me.

I was so happy, so relieved!

And we did one more take and he said, Someone get us a room.

And that was it we only did two takes.

Jessica Lange taught her you dont always have to get it right the first time.

I got to watch her craft these wonderful moments.

Learning lines written by Aaron Sorkin is as difficult as youd imagine.

There was definitely no ad-libbing on theWest Wingset.

The writing is flawless so you dont want to miss one word of it.

She would love to star in a Wendy Davis biopic.

Its always in the back of my mind.

She was not going to allow the whole story ofNashvilleto become a battle of young vs. old.

When I read the pilot I never saw it like that, she says.

It was an opportunity to reflect the culture.

Thats never a story I want to tell.

At first, she thought shed made a mistake taking on the role of Tami Taylor onFriday Night Lights.

I thought it was a terrible idea being a supporting character on a football show, she says.

However, it wasnt long before she fell in love with Tami Taylor.

Shes brave; shes just such a ballsy woman.

She lives in that world in a very brave way and I love that about her.

Whenever they were cooking in the Taylor household onFriday Night Lights, they were really cooking.

Kyle [Chandler, who played Coach Taylor] would always come in and make bacon.

We wanted all of these things to feel as real as possible so we were always doing those things.

Britton and Chandlers relationship onFriday Night Lightswas unique and they plan to work together soon.

We wanted these people to be real partners and that was first and foremost.

Sometimes it doesnt look very pretty.

TV loves to bring in affairs as soon as you have a relationship, lets screw it up.

We were very adamant that wouldnt happen.
